Ignite Phoenix

If you’ve been thinking about submitting a talk idea for Ignite Phoenix, our Submission page is now on the air and ready to accept your ideas!

We’re only asking for a brief bio of yourself along with just an abstract for your talk. Final presentations will be selected from all the ones received two weeks before the event, and then accepted speakers will have a week to submit their final slides. If you have just an idea of your talk but don’t have it all worked out, don’t worry. Just submit it!

What to talk about? Just about ANYTHING! I doubt there is a single person reading this post who wouldn’t have a great idea to present. I’ve talked with several people who at first claimed to have no ideas, but after five minutes they’re ready to go!

Start here - What are you passionate about? What gets you fired up? What do you do in your spare time?

It could be technical - got an idea for a program? A tool? A development methodology? A new start-up? A horrible tale from your last entrepreneurial outing?

It could be artistic - what’s best (or worst) about the Phoenix film, photography, media, music, or artistic scene? What’s the strangest subject you’ve worked on? What’s the most trouble you’ve been in? How do you wish you could get into more trouble?

It could be something else entirely - What do you love? Hate? What would you change about the world if you had a magic wand?

Ignite Phoenix is about bringing different groups and ideas together, so we’re looking for a wide range of ideas. If you want to bat an idea around, leave a comment or drop us an email. We’re happy to help! We’ll also be posting some examples of specific items from other Ignites to get the creative juices flowing.
